The transition from egg to adult takes 5 weeks to 4 months, faster at temperatures between 21 °C and 27 °C. Bed bugs can survive without feeding for 80 to 140 days, with adults living up to 18 months. Younger bugs need to feed more frequently than older ones.

Also apply behind picture frames and wall decorations, beneath and along the edges of carpets, and on various household items/furniture in the bedroom or sleeping quarters.
